My favorite rifle is everything made by Weatherby. I got my Weatherby Mark V Sporter in the hunting section at Wiley Outdoor Sports in Wild Rose. My Dad's favorite caliber for the average hunter I would say the 270 JDJ for best caliber and the 308 Win. for the best cartridge. The best caliber is the 270 JDJ but I do own many others.
I got my Weatherby in the hunting section at Gart Sports in Wild Rose, Arkansas. For deer hunting I like to shoot the rifle from the offhand position.
My favorite rifle is my new Weatherby Mark V Sporter with the American walnut chambered in 308 Win. and 270 JDJ. Our favorite rifle is the 270 JDJ I picked up online at the NRA store.
