My favorite caliber is probably the 17 HMR from Bass Pro Shops in Lubbock. My all-time favorite deer rifle (when hunting in New Jersey) is a 17 HMR. My all-time favorite hunt was for pronghorn antelope in Wyoming, but my favorite trip was fishing in Alaska.
I got my Kimber 8400 Classic in the hunting section at Wiley Outdoor Sports in Lubbock. I got my Kimber in the hunting section at Gart Sports in Lubbock, New Jersey. The best caliber has been a 17 HMR, and it still is.
I like the the 257 Roberts best for deer hunting. One thing I don't like is that it cannot fire as fast as the 17 HMR.
